PIIMA Director familiarizes herself with the activities of subordinate educational institutions in Ferghana Valley

Director of the Agency for Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (PIIMA) Hilola Umarova visited Ferghana Valley on 23-24 October.

This visit is the first visit of Hilola Umarova to Ferghana Valley in the capacity of the head of PIIMA and was aimed at getting acquainted with the activities of the subordinate educational institutions and determining plans for their development.

During the visit, the head of PIIMA got acquainted with the activities of the Presidential School and Creative School named after Iskhokhon Ibrat in Namangan region, the creative school named after Muhammad Yusuf in Andijan region and the creative school named after Erkin Vohidov in Ferghana region.

During her visit to the Presidential School in Namangan, Hilola Umarova congratulated and awarded the winners of the Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO-2020) Adiba Tojimirzaeva, Orifkhon Khusanov, Mokhina Rustamova and Jakhongir Amirkhamzaev.

In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On rewarding a group of especially distinguished workers in the field of education and upbringing in connection with the Day of Teachers and Mentors”, information technologies teacher of the Presidential School in Namangan, Bakhodir Gulmatov, was awarded the "Shukhrat" medal. The head of the agency also congratulated the teacher on this achievement.

After that, with the participation of the administration, local and foreign teachers, issues on further improving the quality of education, the introduction of new teaching methods and additional lessons, as well as the creation of laboratory hubs in the Presidential schools were discussed. Following the meeting, appropriate decisions were made.

During the visit to creative schools in Ferghana Valley, the material base and the educational process in educational institutions were studied. In particular, it was noted that it is necessary to carry out repair work in the creative school named after Muhammad Yusuf. The organization of construction and repair work in this school was discussed with representatives of the local khokimiyat.

Creative school teachers and the PIIMA head have identified plans for the preparation of teaching methodologies and textbooks in subjects such as mother tongue, literature and history.

In addition, the parties agreed to expand work on attracting children to additional lessons on theater, puppet theater and information technology.

- I started my activity as Director of the Agency for Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools by studying the system. Step by step, I plan to visit all the schools under my supervision. The visits will help to identify the existing problems in educational institutions and plans for their development, noted Hilola Umarova.
