The class "Zamin Education" opens at the IT school named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi

A class "Zamin Education", a resource and educational center for information technologies for children with hearing impairments, has been opened at a specialized IT school named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi. 

The project was implemented jointly with the IT-school within the framework of the Zamin Foundation’s program “Development of Education for Children with Hearing Disabilities”. This was reported by the press service of the Zamin Foundation.

All the necessary conditions for teaching children with hearing impairments have been created in the classroom, an FM system has been installed - assistive equipment that will help to enhance the quality of material perception, and individual hearing aids have been handed over to each student.

36 students from specialized boarding schools will be trained in the demanded areas of information technology, graphic design and the English language, receive practical skills and relevant certificates at the end of the curriculum. Also, a special program has been developed aimed at preparing for admission to higher educational institutions in the field of information technology.

Children with hearing impairments will be able to go through the necessary stages for socialization in society, which will allow them to adapt and become in-demand specialists.

In addition to the educational process, the project develops:

- online educational platform "Zamin Education" for children with hearing impairments, their parents and teachers, which includes video lessons with subtitles and sign language translation;

- application for automatic translation of speech into sign language from Uzbek and Karakalpak languages;

- refresher course for teachers of specialized boarding schools in the field of information technology;

- educational methodology for teaching information technology, robotics and English for implementation in specialized schools.
