Wolfgang A. Herman is the Honorary President of the Technical University of Munich, the Rector of the New Uzbekistan University.
He also worked as:
- Chairman of the Conference of Rectors of the University of Bavaria from 2002 to 2004;
- Member of the International Advisory Board (KAUST) of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia, 2007;
- Member of the Board of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology from 2008 to 2014.
Professor Herrmann conducts research in the field of inorganic and metalloorganic chemistry.
Wolfgang Herrmann is Honorary Doctor of 13 universities in Germany and other countries, as well as one of the most talked about German chemists according to the ISI (International Scientific Index).
He is also the author of more than 800 scientific articles and about 80 patents.
