The head of the Agency for Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools and the Israeli Ambassador discuss the development of cooperation in the field of education

On 10 February 2021, Director of the Agency for Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khilola Umarova received the Ambassador of Israel Zehavit Ben Hillel.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of Agency for the Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools Amirulla Abdullayev.

The meeting took place in the building of the Presidential School in Tashkent. Before the meeting, the Israeli Ambassador got acquainted with the conditions created at the Presidential School for students and teachers.

During the meeting, Zehavit Ben Hillel received information about the activities of the Agency on training talented youth and plans for the development of subordinate schools.

It was noted that the mission of the Agency is to select talented children and create conditions for their education and development of talents.

It was noted that in 2021, the Agency plans to open 10 more Presidential Schools throughout the country.

The Israeli Ambassador said she was impressed by the Presidential Schools project. She added that Israel is interested in developing cooperation with the Agency, including through MASHAV.

The Israeli side also offered to organize cooperation and exchange between the youth of the two countries, within the framework of which young people from Uzbekistan and Israel would work together on joint projects.

The parties discussed issues of organizing various advanced training courses for teachers from Uzbekistan, establishing cooperation with R&D centers in Israel, exchanging experience in organizing extracurricular lessons for youth, etc.

The issues of organizing advanced training of specialists and teachers, as well as exchange of experience in ensuring the quality of education were also considered.
