Comment from the Cambridge Assessment on the marking of answers in the Presidential Schools Entrance Exams

Gwen Caudwell, head of the Cambridge Assessment Test Development and Admissions Coordination Department, explained why the answers in the presidential schools entrance exams are written in pencil:

- Answers are checked using special equipment. Marking the answers in pencil allows the candidate to change it when he makes a mistake and choose another answer. When this is done with the pen, it is not possible to  delete wrong answer. The special apparatus does not accept corrected answers by pens.
