The gift of the Agency to teachers of our country

INNOVATIVE PLATFORM NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR DEVELOPMENT

In cooperation with the Presidential Agency for Educational Institutions, UNESCO Tashkent Office and IDRC, presented the Uzbek TDP@Scale model of teacher training. It should be noted that the TDP@Scale model is a completely new approach to teacher training in Uzbekistan. Proposed online in-service training courses paved the way for teachers to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in their fields. Teachers can connect to the TDP@Scale platform through www.edu.piima.uzz , launched by the Agency, and participate in modular courses in each subject, which were developed by UNESCO experts. Participation in the modules is reflected in the teacher's portfolio. Through the TDP@Scale platform, not only educators but also school principals can improve their skills. Educators will receive a certificate from the Agency after passing a certain module. TDP@Scale was developed by the Agency for Presidential Educational Institutions in collaboration with UNESCO.

Adviser to the President of Uzbekistan on Youth Affairs, Science, Education, Health and Sports Abdujabbor Abduvahidov,  Head of the UNESCO Office in Tashkent, Alexandros Makarigakis, Director of the Presidential Agency for Educational Institutions Hilola Umarova, and international and local experts participated in this important meeting.

"Education is at the center of reforms in Uzbekistan today"

Adviser to the President of Uzbekistan on Youth Affairs, Science, Education, Health and Sports Abdujabbor Abduvahidov:

“Education is at the heart of the reforms that are taking place in Uzbekistan today. At the same time, it is very important to introduce new approaches in the field, to create opportunities for the younger generation to receive quality education. The new model of teacher training is an integral part of these efforts. ”

“We intend to contribute to the development of the education system of our country through the new TPD@Scale model"

Hilola Umarova, Director of the Presidential Agency for Educational Institutions:

"It is known that the success of any educational institution is its talented students and qualified teachers. That is why it is very important for educators to constantly improve their professional skills. The new TPD@Scale model is a unique innovation in the field. We have been cooperating effectively with UNESCO in the development of the TDP@Scale hybrid model.  A qualified teacher plays the most important role in this process. "

"Education is a global priority"

Alexandros Makarigakis: Head of the UNESCO Office in Tashkent:

"Education is a global issue. This was especially complicated during the pandemic. With this in mind, the Uzbek government has begun to take action. In particular, the President has launched a project with the Agency for Educational Institutions to improve the professional skills of teachers in Uzbekistan. The Uzbek TDP@scale model is a long-term model that has been piloted in Presidential schools in Khiva, Nukus, Namangan, and Tashkent. It was attended by more than 100 teachers. As part of these pilot trainings, the necessary aspects of the introduction of the model into the education system of Uzbekistan were studied in practice. This will ensure the success of this model. On behalf of UNESCO, I would like to thank the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Presidential Agency for Educational Institutions. ”

"This innovative TPD@Scale model will be implemented in all schools of the country"

Nargiza Kuchkarova, Head of the Department of Selection and Teacher Training:

"One of the reasons for the effectiveness of the trainings organized under this project is the continuity of the project. Trainings are organized not only online, but also offline, which further increases efficiency. There will also be a shift from traditional to modern, that is, research-based training, as well as methodologies, rather than knowledge-based training and methodologies. We know that in the traditional way, it is assessed mainly by educating the student and then asking for it. This model requires an innovative approach.
