The work carried out in the schools of the regions is of special importance in increasing the interest of young people in books and reading, in educating them into a harmoniously developed generation. The five initiatives put forward by our President have the same goals. One of the important goals of these 5 initiatives is to bring up pupils knowledgeable. At the same time, the Presidential, creativity and specialized schools holds competitions and events dedicated to the promotion of reading.
In particular, Shohrukh Sobirjonov, the 8th grade pupil of the specialized school named after Is’ hakhon Ibrat, won the first place in the competition "100 books for one child" organized by the Children's Library and the National Revival Party in region.
About 100 students from Namangan region took part in the competition.
