The Agency for the Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools this year carried out a large-scale work to attract local and foreign personnel to the agency's schools, as well as to formulate professional requirements for school teachers. We talked with the Head of the Agency’s Teacher selection and training Department Nargiza Sharafzhanovna Kuchkarova.
1. What are the stages of selection for the vacant position of the Agency and departmental schools?
Firstly, the applications for JOB.PIIMA.UZ are constantly monitored, and potential candidates are selected in accordance with the selection requirements for creativity and specialized schools. A working group is then created to select teachers for creativity and specialized schools, and candidates are assessed on the basis of a second stage (essay / case study). The working group summarizes the exam results and provides a list of candidates who successfully passed the exam. These candidates are directed to interviews through the ZOOM platform.
2. What is the procedure for attracting foreign teachers to departmental schools?
As you know, JOB.PIIMA.UZ, as well as various channels and sites regularly provide information on vacancies. Incoming applications are tracked and applicants are reviewed for recommendations to verify compliance. They are then interviewed and an invitation letter is sent to successful candidates who meet all the requirements. Once the letter is approved by both parties, the Legal Department prepares the text of the agreements and begins preparations for the visa process.
3. In what order is the initial baseline study conducted?
These studies were formed in 4 stages:
1) study of international experience;
2) Studying the professional qualifications of teaching staff;
3) Observation of the lesson, interviews with teachers and students;
4) Analysis of the data obtained.
4. Could you tell us about the work done on the formation of professional requirements for teachers of PCSS?
Intially, new educational standards provided by the Department of Standards and Curriculum Development are being studied. After that, new professional requirements will be developed and approved based on the same standards.
5. What are the further plans of the Agency?
The relevant departments of the Agency are currently working on the development of training courses and the creation of training materials. There is also a selection of teachers in 10 newly opened Presidential schools. In addition, it is planned to conduct trainings for school teachers and select suitable trainers.
