The opening ceremony of the New Uzbekistan University was held

On October 19, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a presentation of the New Uzbekistan University, a roundtable discussion and a press tour of the educational building and dormitory.

On the occasion of the beginning of the first academic year at the University an introductory week is scheduled for October 18-23. During this week, students will be introduced to the conditions at the university, science teachers, lesson schedules, assessment criteria, university regulations, as well as the educational portal New Uzbekistan (Intranet).

For information, the entrance exam to the New Uzbekistan University was held in cooperation with the Cambrdige Assessment on September 6 this year, which was attended by 1213 candidates who successfully passed the qualifying round. The first stage of the exams - a total of more than 6,000 applicants were registered in the selection process.

In the academic year 2021-2022, the university was admitted in the following areas:

- Mechanical engineering;

- Chemical engineering;

- Software engineering.

According to the results of the examination, each faculty admitted 100 students, a total of 200 students.

New Uzbekistan University cooperates with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which ranks first in the ranking of "100 best universities in the world". Along with local specialists, foreign teachers are also involved in the university. Cooperation with TUM International was carried out to develop and implement scientific programs in all 10 fundamental disciplines of the university.

Also on September 27-1 October, a delegation of the Agency for Presidential Educational Institutions led by the head of the Agency Hilola Umarova, visited Munich, Germany and met Friederika Hettinger, head of TUM International; Wolfgang Herrmann, honorary rector of the university; met with a number of other officials to discuss the expansion of international cooperation within the university. Likewise,met with Dr. Marten Schlotter, Head of the Central Asia Cooperation Department of the Bavarian State Chancellery, Ferdinand Pinzer, Project Manager of Siemens Energy Training Center, and a number of other officials to discuss expanding international cooperation within the university.
