A delegation of the Agency for Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools (PIIMA) under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by Deputy Director Amirulla Abdullaev, visited Kazakhstan to establish cooperation with Autonomous Educational Organization Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.
The purpose of the visit was a meeting with the leadership of the Autonomous Educational Organization "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" (NIS), familiarization with the activities of NIS departments and visiting schools, studying their experience, negotiating cooperation.
During the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan held negotiations with the Chairman of the Board of the AEO Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools Kulyash Shamshidinova.
The Uzbek side briefed the Kazakh side about the ongoing reforms in the education sector of Uzbekistan, as well as the creation and activities of the Agency for Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools.
In turn, the Kazakh side provided information on the activities and achievements of AEO Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools. In particular, the activities of the AEO Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in the development of new curricula and textbooks, professional development of teaching staff, etc. were considered.
Kulyash Shamshidinova expressed her readiness for close cooperation, including on the transfer and implementation of NIS educational programs, methodologies and advanced training programs in the Agency’s schools, as well as assistance in the development of the Agency’s own educational programs and textbooks.
The delegation of Uzbekistan suggested holding a joint pedagogical forum as a first step of cooperation. This initiative was positively received and during the discussion of the topics of the forum, its name was determined as "Design of a new world: everything starts with a teacher".
During the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan visited and got acquainted with the activities of the Nazarbayev Intellectual Physics and Mathematics School and the International School of Nur-Sultan.
Representatives of the Agency for the Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools visited Nazarbayev University and met with the Vice President of the university Kadisha Dairova. The parties discussed possible areas of cooperation.
