Teacher of the Presidential School in Tashkent wins the Ustoz-2020 national prize.

Zulfiyahon Rashidova, a teacher of the native language and literature of the Presidential School in Tashkent, won the Ustoz-2020 national prize in the Plus 1 nomination.

The National Prize Ustoz-2020 was organized by the non-governmental non-profit organization “Association of Teachers” in cooperation with the Varkey Foundation. The Varkey Foundation is the organizer of the Global Teacher Prize and 36 national teachers awards.

The competition was held in October-December 2020. About 12,000 teachers took part in the competition in 6 areas.

The teacher of the native language and literature of the Presidential School in Tashkent, Zulfiyahon Rashidova, took part in the competition in the “Plus 1” nomination along with 236 teachers. In the “Plus 1” nomination, teachers, who work in schools, which are not part of the system of the Ministry of Public Education could take part.

Zulfiyahon Rashidova, who successfully passed all three stages of the competition, was declared the winner of the competition in accordance with the decision of the jury.

The organizers of the competition presented Zulfiyahon Rashidova with a cash prize of 30 million soums. Zulfiyahon Rashidova also got the opportunity to take part in the Global Teacher Prize 2021 awards ceremony, which takes place annually in Dubai.
