Teachers of the Presidential School exchange experience with local specialists

Teachers of the Presidential School in Nukus, Hezbon Opiti and Richard Keffer, as well as the head of the robotics club, Jaksilik Dauletnazarov, visited secondary school No. 76 in Amudarya district to exchange experiences with local specialists.

Presidential schools are created in accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev "On measures for the education of Presidential schools" from 20 February 2019 and are aimed at creating a system for talent management and training future leaders of the country.

Presidential schools will become a kind of locomotive of reforms in improving the quality of education in our republic.

The learning process in Presidential schools is carried out according to the STEAM - education program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics), which will allow gifted youth to further develop thinking, willpower, creative potential and flexibility.

Today Presidential schools operate in Nukus, Khiva, Namangan and Tashkent. Experienced foreign STEAM teachers were selected for these schools.

The Agency for Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools (PIIMA) has established cooperation with the Ministry of Public Education. Within the framework of this cooperation, foreign teachers of the Presidential Schools share their experience and knowledge with local specialists, as well as the methodology of teaching STEAM subjects.

Teachers of the Presidential School in Nukus Hezbon Opiti and Richard Keffer, as well as the head of the robotics circle, Jaksilik Dauletnazarov, met with the teachers of School No. 76.

Foreign experts shared the methodology of teaching physics and mathematics, as well as their experience. It was noted that now it is necessary not only to provide high-quality knowledge, but also to develop the competencies of children.

Hezbon Opiti and Richard Keffer conducted a master class on teaching STEAM subjects for local educators with the involvement of students.

Jaksilik Dauletnazarov, in turn, held a master class on robotics and Scratch programming for teachers and students of the school.
